This is a really tasty Italian recipe used for meat. Everyone loves it, especially children. My grandmother used to make it for us when I was a kid so the smell of it brings me back to those time, that kitchen where my nanny was the absolute leader. This is why, as many other Italian recipes, I have VEGANISED it, I make it either with tofu or seitan. Everyone at home loves it.
1/2 garlic cloves
Wash, peel and chop the tomatoes in small pieces, put the tomatoes together with some olive oil, garlic and cook. Add oregano and salt to taste.
Cut the tofu in dice, not too small though, then add them to the tomato sauce once it is cooked and keep on slow heat for about 10 minutes.
Some black pepper and parsley can be added too according to your tastes.
